Festival Celebrations

Celebrating festivals together — regional traditions and cultural observances we care about (Bihu, harvest seasons, solstices, local rituals) alongside ones we create ourselves. Honoring interesting people and achievements: thinkers, makers, activists, and rebels who shaped fields we love — Aaron Swartz, Grace Hopper, Ambedkar — as well as local elders and community members who hold knowledge worth remembering before it disappears. Creating our own small, weird, in-house rituals: feast days anchored to a person's birthday, knowledge potlucks, zine nights, year-end chaos gatherings, ingredient celebrations tied to local harvests, community recognition nights. Finding excuses to mark time together and give it meaning.
