Overview
A DIY temperature monitoring system for compost piles using ESP32 microcontrollers and waterproof temperature probes.
Goals
- Monitor internal temperature of compost pile in real-time
- Alert when temperature drops below optimal range (130-160°F)
- Log data for analysis of composting efficiency
- Build using locally-sourceable components
Current Status
Prototyping the sensor array and testing different probe depths.
